			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I personally enjoy cooking a fair amount. Nothing hits the spot quite like a nicely cooked meal to help alleviate the stresses of the college lifestyle. Naturally, if one eats a lot of crappy food then they will start to feel crappy so I make sure to cook myself a number of good meals each week. I enjoy cooking a lot of different meats but am a little limited so I don&#8217;t have a grill. I really wish I had a big grill to cook steaks and grill fish on but I guess I&#8217;ll just have to wait until I get a house of my own. Even though I don&#8217;t have a grill, I&#8217;ve been able to do a lot with the broil setting on our oven in order to get some nicely &#8220;grilled&#8221; meat.</p>
<p>Last night, I decided to make some Spicy Beef Skewers. It was a pretty simple recipe and it yielded some greaty results!</p>
<p>I first mixed up a marinade that consisted of some Terayaki sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, a little vegetable oil and some crushed red peppers. I marinated some chunks of beef in the sauce for about 15 minutes while I cut up a nice onion. I kind of wish I liked more vegetables like red and green peppers since those would have been a nice addition to the receipe. Anyways, I then poked the meet and onions on to some bamboo skewers and put them on a rack to broil. It only took about 10 or 15 minutes to cook them thoroughly and get them to the point where they looked nicely crisped.</p>
<p>Pretty simple receipe that went nicely with some hot white rice! They definitely had a nice tang to them and I made enough to last for two meals so I&#8217;m pretty content. <img src='http://www.davidstoker.org/blog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  And to think that everyone talks about eating bad in college. Not me!</p>
